The brief was to create a home that felt collected over time, not assembled. A space with sophistication that didn't announce itself and warmth that wasn't precious.

We began with sightlines and movement. When the elevator doors open, where does the eye go first? As you move through the space, what draws you forward? Those questions shaped every decision, from furniture placement to material selection. The entrance floor pattern grounds you immediately. An ethanol fireplace anchors the view from every angle.

Bronze glass, washed oak, and black accents thread through each space, creating continuity without repetition. Each area feels distinct: the sitting room, the dining room anchored by a 12-foot custom concrete table, the kitchen with Calacatta Viola marble, and the wine room designed around backlit onyx and the client's significant collection. The finished space reads as one continuous thought. Quiet, considered, and entirely his.

Material Palette & Design Concept

The palette was built on controlled contrast. Mostly black, beige, and white tones that weave in and out of each other in various ways, creating movement from space to space. The subtlety is intentional. Loud would have been easier. Quiet required precision. Materials were selected for durability as much as aesthetics. Waterproofed fabrics, stone chosen for movement and longevity, black glass for depth. Every surface was specified to perform over years, not just on the day of reveal.

We’d welcome the opportunity to hear about the space you’re envisioning.
